Summary

*Running Time => 13hrs。*

His name is Hadjar Darkhan, and he still follows the call of his dragon heart。

The War Games ended a few months ago, and the various generals of Darnassus, led by the Emperor, realized that just the disciples of the best martial arts Schools and even the smaller, lesser schools wouldn’t be able to strengthen the Darnassian Army enough to prepare it for what was coming。 A war was on the horizon, and every weapon would matter, so losing even the most inexperienced warriors was an unthinkable prospect。

The Empire had never prepared for battle on such a massive scale before。 They’d gathered tens of thousands of Spirit Knights and hundreds of thousands of Heaven Soldiers in just a short time。 But would that be enough to combat the countless hordes of the enemy? Or were these just the death throes of a once vast Empire?

Hadjar, whether he wanted to or not, would be part of this upcoming war。 Moreover, his role might end up being far more significant than he’d originally assumed。

Before a decisive battle begins, he must plunge into a maelstrom of war preparations, which doesn’t bode well for him…

Great Great character development。 Great cultivation process。 The main character develops power like a boss in a ROG game。 Love it!

Tony Hinde

Seemed short but maybe I was just too absorbed in the story。

QuestionWhat are the extra chapters? Do they increase provenance the story or are they a preview? Look forward to book 10。

it remains to be okay, which might sound bad until you realize that this is the ninth book and 9 for 9 isn't bad at all。 it remains to be okay, which might sound bad until you realize that this is the ninth book and 9 for 9 isn't bad at all。 。。。more

I like these。 Hadjar’s ‘indomitable will’ gets a bit tiresome, but there’s always enough stupid, over-the-top stuff happening that you want to see what happens next。 Just, you don’t need to harp on about how determined he is all the time。 We know that by now!

This is yet another exceptional addition to the series。 Without giving anything away (I hate spoilers!) there are a few twists and turns (And a nice surprise after the book is finished!) that keep you on the edge of your seat。 Hadjar, as always, keeps moving forward。 There is all the same whit and fun as t he previous books, as well as plenty of action and adventure。 I highly recommend this book if you are a fan of the series, and if your not - Pick up this series right now! So bloody gripping。。。。 OK so this guy is good, really really good。。。 It's been a long time since a new voice has been able to consistently churn out great stuff。。。 Unlike a lot of wuxia stories this one is not 2 dimensional and kind of flattish。。。 This series is is the real deal with great twist and turns, highs and lows and nicely fleshed lut characters, if u like Sanderson or rothfuss or will wight u must read this series。 Also I am genuinely surprised at the quality of the translation。。。 So bloody gripping。。。。 OK so this guy is good, really really good。。。 It's been a long time since a new voice has been able to consistently churn out great stuff。。。 Unlike a lot of wuxia stories this one is not 2 dimensional and kind of flattish。。。 This series is is the real deal with great twist and turns, highs and lows and nicely fleshed lut characters, if u like Sanderson or rothfuss or will wight u must read this series。 Also I am genuinely surprised at the quality of the translation。。。 。。。more

Loved the Introspective MCMy favorite things about this series aren’t just the action and progression but the moments in between everything where the MC or the narrator analyze themselves, someone else, or the world around them and draw some poetic conclusion to take with them。 I highlighted and laughed a lot in this book。 We also get to see more of the MC’s master Orune, his dialogue was hilarious。

Alert First, my review: “This was a fun book。 I am glad that I read it。 You should try it too。”Second, I am not a bot。。。at least I don’t think I am。 Yes this is copy pasta (just learned that term, so fun!) simply because I feel like any book I read deserves acknowledgement but at the same time my feelings on reviews conflict with the normal review process。I enjoyed this book, so my goal is to promote it and help the author。 If you are a potential reader, just stop reading now and take the above Alert First, my review: “This was a fun book。 I am glad that I read it。 You should try it too。”Second, I am not a bot。。。at least I don’t think I am。 Yes this is copy pasta (just learned that term, so fun!) simply because I feel like any book I read deserves acknowledgement but at the same time my feelings on reviews conflict with the normal review process。I enjoyed this book, so my goal is to promote it and help the author。 If you are a potential reader, just stop reading now and take the above as all you need to know。 I am not going to share my reasoning, thoughts on the book, or any opinions that would influence your decision to read it。 It is my opinion that Art needs to be experienced at an individual level。 You are the only one that can determine what you like and don’t like。 Don’t let others make that decision for you。 You should definitely read the book and completely ignore all of the reviews。 Or not if you don’t think this book is for you。 That choice is all yours and the beauty of art appreciation。 You are a much better judge of what you will like than anyone here。 If you are a member of the IAK Guild (thanks, Jason) or part of the review police, feel free to criticize me and challenge my philosophy on reviewing art。 I think we all love a good debate。 The forums are open and I welcome your comments。 I was wrong in my previous request to get you to stop。 Your blatant disregard for that request has led to some fun discussions。 Growth is important for us all。Cheers 。。。more

The Epic Saga continuesThis series is simply amazing。 Book 9 welcomes back the MC after his time with Orune and we finally get to see what Hadjar can become with some。。。proper。。。training? No spoilers。

Amazing as usualReally liked the levelling here and how strong Hadjar looked despite beings a mere Spirit king。 Cant wait to see him get stronger and get the second part of his cultivation path book。 Some of the flash back scenes seemed out of place / disjointed but overall liked the correlation between current time and flash back。 I am hoping to see Hadjar soon in the dragon land with the minister。 Till then back to daily page refresh at RR。

Amazing。 No other words needed。 Good job by the translation team too。 Other than a couple of words which felt out of place (for example 'chic' or 'mom'), it was otherwise very smooth。 Can't wait for the next one as always。 Amazing。 No other words needed。 Good job by the translation team too。 Other than a couple of words which felt out of place (for example 'chic' or 'mom'), it was otherwise very smooth。 Can't wait for the next one as always。 。。。more

Good story, length issueGood read。 Quite short for this series, and the characters are back to being stupid as all shite, I thought the author had fixed this issue in the last two books, but people doing stupid things for no solid reason is back

Another fun addition to the series。 I felt like the writing style evolved in this book to me reading pleasure。 I loved the tournament aspects of this book。 The cultivation/LitRPG aspect are seemingly becoming less and less important。 Cultivation details feel like an after though and LitRPG feels forgotten。 It has an entertaining plot and I will definitely be taking a look at the next book。
